Client feedback is always so valuable to a production team – both what we’re doing right, as well as how we can improve. It's not just the end results though - it's the journey to achieve it that can be the deciding factor of success.
What I particularily look out for, inbetween the feedback, is the emotional level of excitement, genuine interest, and enjoyment that a client has when I work with them to deliver their content.
“What can I say Gary -
I think you’ve smashed this one clean out of the park!”
See what I mean? That's a pretty good example of client comment this week who, evidently, is very enthused, as well as satisfied with working on this current project together.
Everyone needs a hero
I aim to be a client's creative content champion – the person that takes, what might be to them, day-to-day communications or marketing messages and manage the creative process to generate their enthusiasm and energy to create the most engaging content for their audience. Without energy and enthusism, going into its making, don't expect your audience to find it either.
You get out, what you put in! Embrace your content production partners to lead you on your way to showcase your proposition and expertise! You know your stuff, and we know ours!
Sometimes, I find that we all just want the opportunity to have the support to review and assess our world through different eyes – alternative methods to speak to an audience, new approaches to the same messages. There are infinite ways to solve any problem or brief, so there’s no excuse to come to it with a ‘here we go again’ tick-box mentality – and a Creative Producer can help reposition stakeholder’s mindsets to embrace the ‘what if’, and celebrate the ‘we could’.
Start with a buzz
I’ve worked with Financial services, Medtech, Industrial production, Energy and Network providers,....which are not the first industries you'd put in line to apply ‘creativity’. Because of that, more often than not, clients I work within these business areas, tend to start out having fairly pre-determined ideas and expectations of the process of presenting their product or message – yet every piece of content has the possibility to be unique, surprising and highly engaging. So if we all embrace the potential for something rewarding to be made, the experience of actually getting it made will be too.
To mangle a well-over used saying based on feedback from clients, is that the project journey returns just as much value to them as the project destination – if not more. Actually it’s not unusual to be the very reason that my clients return to work on future projects together.
